Dr Mathilda Wilding has completed specialist training in both Medical Oncology (cancer treatment) and Clinical Genetics. She is one of only a few doctors in Australia to have achieved both of these qualifications. Dr Wilding is a Cancer Genetics Staff Specialist at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney.
Dr Wilding is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a member of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA). She is a member of the Reference Committee for the National Cancer Institute (eviQ) guidelines. As part of this committee, Dr Wilding is involved in developing genetic testing and risk management guidelines. These guidelines are used nationally and internationally to guide genetic testing and the management of individuals with an inherited cause for cancer.
Dr Wilding supervises and mentors training doctors and Genetic Counsellors from hospitals across NSW.
Dr Wilding is a caring, respectful clinician, who will listen to your concerns and provide clear, personalised explanations.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young sons and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Betty.
